Kristine Stewart was born in Dallas, Texas, but
has lived most of her life in Colorado. She has a Bachelor of
Fine Arts Degree and a Master of Arts from Colorado College, an
historic private college located in Colorado Springs Colorado.
Most of Kris’s inspirations come from painting beautiful flowing
landscapes in oil or watercolor. You can see from her work the
vivid colors and light play in her artwork. They are clean, honest
and sensual, like the landscapes she replicates. You can feel in
her artwork a clear, crisp Colorado Autumn day in much of her
work and it is a reflection of the inspiration that is derived
from her home on a 57 acre horse ranch on the north slope of
Pike's Peak. Kris’s work has been displayed and sold at numerous
Colorado venues to include some of the following: the Ute Pass
Cultural Center, Eagle Fire Gallery, Woodland Park Fine Arts Fair,
the Eichman Gallery and the Gallery at Pikes Peak.
Her paintings can also be found in private collections around the
United States. |
